National Wild Horse & Burro Conference
Join us for an unforgettable weekend dedicated to advocacy, education, and action!
We’re excited to announce this year’s National Wild Horse and Burro Conference, where passionate advocates, experts, and enthusiasts will come together to learn, connect, and explore ways to protect America’s iconic wild horses.
Conference and Adventure Schedule
Thursday, April 30 — Welcome Reception & Social Night
Kick things off in style at the stunning Mangelsen Images of Nature Gallery, where we’ll gather for a relaxed welcome reception surrounded by breathtaking wildlife photography.
Afterward, we’ll head to The Cabin for a Catered dinner, laughter, and a whole lot of fun—complete with line dancing and lessons led by the incredible Katie McCarron. No experience required, just bring your energy!
Friday, May 1 — Out in the Wild (Optional Community Meetup)
Join fellow attendees for a visit to see inspiring Wild Horses. Many participants will already be heading out to the Onaqui HMA, and we’ll help connect people who’d like to carpool or caravan together. We will have a location to meet up for lunch which will be sponsored by the Conference. Over lunch, we’ll get a chance to hear from local experts who will share insights about the land, the horses, and the region.. This is an optional, just a shared experience on your free day.
.
Saturday, May 2 — Conference Day: The Wild at the Core
A powerful day of learning with leading experts diving into everything wild—from the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act, to the future of our public lands, and how we move forward to protect what must remain wild.
Sunday, May 3 — Conference Day: What Comes After
Hear from leaders on the ground about what happens after removals: rescues, sanctuaries, innovative programs, and real pathways to getting horses into homes. We’ll also explore meaningful ways you can make a difference.
Monday, May 4 — Out in the Wild Again (Optional Adventure)
We’ll close out the weekend with a visit to the Delta holding facility and another visit list to the Swasey HMA.
We’ll help coordinate carpooling once again. We will be doing lunch down in the local town.
We have a lineup of inspiring speakers who we are still adding to! These individuals are on the front lines of the fight to protect wild horses, and we can’t wait for you to hear what they have to share. This will continue to be updated as we get confirmations.

The Azure Guardian
A Tribute to Freedom by Rikoo Studio
Forged deep within the Earth and brought to life through ten days of meticulous hand-carving, The Azure Guardian is a powerful celebration of the spirit of the wild horse.
Carved from a rare, monolithic block of premium Labradorite, this striking stallion captures the strength and motion of a mustang at rest yet ready to run. In shadow, the stone appears dark and grounded. But when light touches its surface, brilliant flashes of electric blue and indigo ignite across the mane and neck—a phenomenon known as labradorescence—like lightning across a desert sky.
More than 240 hours of careful artistry went into revealing the hidden light within the stone, reflecting the patience, resilience, and devotion required to protect America’s wild horses.
Rikoo Studio proudly donates The Azure Guardian to support the mission to save America’s wild horses. This piece stands as a symbol of their enduring freedom—and a reminder that the wild heart of the Wild Horse still runs strong.
