Get to Know Me

I'm a beautiful bay mare with distinctive star, strip, and snip markings on my face and a white marking on my left hind leg. I was born around January 2021 in Nevada's Antelope herd area, where I began my life wild and free.

On August 25, 2021, when I was only seven months old, my life changed when I was rounded up and removed from the land I called home. I was still just a baby, with so much of my life ahead of me.

The BLM identified me as #8195, but I'm so much more than a number. I'm a wild horse with a story, a future filled with possibilities, and a name still waiting to be chosen.

Now, at approximately five years old, I've spent nearly my entire life away from the range. But thanks to the kindness of people who care, I have the opportunity to experience freedom again at Rewilding America Now, where thousands of acres await and I'll have room to roam alongside other wild horses.

I was too young to experience much of the wild life I was born into, but now I have the chance to explore open spaces, form lasting friendships, and enjoy the companionship of other wild horses.

Could you be the one to give me a name of my own?

More of My Journey

A Wild Childhood Cut Short

At just seven months old, #8195 was removed from Nevada's Antelope herd area. She has spent more than five years away from the range, missing much of the wild childhood she was born to experience.

Her Freedom Ride offers something especially meaningful: the opportunity to live with room to roam, explore, and build relationships with other horses in a natural, open setting.

Additional photographs of my journey will be shared here.

You may never meet me, but your kindness could change my life forever.
