A Journey from the Wilds of California to a Forever Wild Home

Get to Know Me

I'm a beautiful sorrel mare with a rich reddish coat and a natural beauty all my own. I was born around January 2017 in California's Twin Peaks herd area, where I spent the first five and a half years of my life living wild and free.

But on August 1, 2022, when I was about five and a half years old, my life changed when I was rounded up and removed from the land I called home.

The BLM identified me as #7038,  But I'm so much more than a number. I'm a wild horse with a story, a past filled with freedom, and a future still waiting to unfold.

I'm also still waiting for someone special to give me a name of my own.

Could you be the one to name me?

Now, at approximately nine years old, a wonderful new chapter is waiting for me. After more than four years away from the range, I have the opportunity to leave holding behind and return to a life with room to roam, surrounded by other wild horses, at my forever home with Rewilding America Now.

I spent my early years knowing what it meant to live wild. Although I cannot return to the exact life I once knew, I now have the opportunity to experience the open spaces and companionship that are such an important part of being a wild horse..

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of people who care, that day may soon become a reality.

My story isn't finished. The best chapter may be just beginning.
