A Journey from the Wilds of Nevada to a Forever Wild Home

Get to Know Me

I'm a beautiful black mare with a little star on my forehead and white socks on three of my legs. I was born around January 2021 in Nevada's Triple B herd area, where I spent my early years living wild and free.

On November 16, 2024, when I was almost four years old, my life changed when I was rounded up and removed from the land I called home.

The BLM identified me as #3997, But I'm so much more than a number. I'm a wild horse with a story, friendships, and bonds that matter.

One of the most special parts of my story is my close bond with Wild Horse #2831. We share a strong connection, and being able to continue our journey together means that we have the opportunity to enter this next chapter with a familiar companion by our side.

Could you be the one to give me a name of my own?

Now, at approximately five years old, a wonderful new chapter is waiting for me. After nearly two years away from the range, I have the opportunity to leave holding behind and return to a life with room to roam, surrounded by other wild horses, at my forever home with Rewilding America Now.

And perhaps one of the most beautiful parts of this new beginning is that #2831 and I have the opportunity to remain together, continuing the bond that makes our story so special.

I may have lost the freedom I was born into, but thanks to the kindness and generosity of people who care, I have the chance to experience that freedom again.

My story isn't finished. The best chapter may be just beginning.

More of My Journey

A Special Friendship: Wild Horse #2831 shares a close bond with Wild Horse #2777. Their relationship is a reminder that wild horses form meaningful social connections, and preserving those bonds is an important part of giving them a better future.
